Winter Lichen

The lichen growths may go unnoticed during the summer months, but their color is beautiful compared to the grays and browns of winter. They remind me of tiny aerial landscapes waiting to be explored.

...Beak! The local pine grosbeak clan has been feeding on the crab apple tree out front. It's nice having them around this winter.
